Abstract

Perturbative calculations in quantum field theory naturally reduce to the calculation of the loop integrals. As the order of the perturbation theory grows, the multiloop calculations may become very complicated and, therefore, effective and powerful techniques in this field are of a great importance. The approach based on the reduction of the multiloop integrals to master integrals and the evaluation of those via differential equations is one of the most powerful "general purpose" methods applicable to perturbative calculations in arbitrary quantum field theory. In my lecture I will review this approach including its recent development and remaining open questions.
